It is hard to trust something you haven&#8217;t yet experienced.  In my ninth year of practicing with the medicine, I can confidently say that it does work, whether or not we completely understand how.</span></p>
<p><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #003366;"><strong>Even if it does work, is a medicine that uses needles <em>really worth it</em>?</strong></span> <span style="color: #333333;">Many people have had painful experiences with shots or giving blood. The needles used in acupuncture are <em>dramatically</em> smaller than the needles used by your doctor.  Acupuncture needles are flimsy, and hair-thin and create a very different sensation.  Even when people are uncomfortable at the idea of acupuncture, they are soon relaxing on the table during their treatment.</span></span></p>
<p><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #003366;"><strong>Please<em> <a title="Location and Contact" href="http://pureacupuncturechicago.com/location-and-contact/"><span style="color: #003366;">call with any questions</span></a></em> about your personal </strong></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #003366;"><strong>health, to schedule a free consultation or your initial visit.</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">Many people who are new to acupuncture have a lot of questions about it. Acupuncture is great for <strong><a title="Acupuncture for Pain Relief" href="http://pureacupuncturechicago.com/?page_id=17">pain relief</a> </strong>and<strong> <a title="Acupuncture for Sports Injury and Prevention" href="http://pureacupuncturechicago.com/?page_id=18">sports injury &amp; prevention</a>, </strong>and it also addresses many imbalances caused by lifestyle, stress and illness.  Acupuncture helps to improve <strong><a title="Acupuncture for Digestive Problems" href="http://pureacupuncturechicago.com/?page_id=21">digestion</a></strong>, energy and sleep.  It helps relieve symptoms of allergies, headaches, migraines and the impact of stress.  Acupuncture also supports <strong><a title="Acupuncture for Fertility" href="http://pureacupuncturechicago.com/?page_id=14">fertility &amp; pregnancy</a></strong> (including with assisted reproductive technologies such as IUI &amp; IVF), symptoms of <strong><a title="Acupuncture for Menopause" href="http://pureacupuncturechicago.com/?page_id=22">menopause</a></strong>, <strong><a title="Acupuncture for Anxiety &amp; Depression" href="http://pureacupuncturechicago.com/?page_id=23">anxiety &amp; depression</a></strong>.  It also provides a non-invasive and healthy way to enhance vitality and a youthful appearance with <strong><a title="Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture" href="http://pureacupuncturechicago.com/?page_id=19">facial cosmetic acupuncture</a>.</strong></span></p>
<p><em><span style="color: #000000;">Read the recent article </span><span style="color: #000000;"><a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703561604576150110202228764.html" target="_blank">Can Needles Soothe Wounded Warriors?</a> </span><span style="color: #000000;">published in the Wall Street Journal about military doctors in Afghanistan using acupuncture for dealing with the trauma experienced by soldiers.</span></em></p>

You will complete forms before you come in and we will talk further about what is going on for you. </span><span style="color: #000000;">In each session, I will feel your pulse and look at your tongue. This will provide more information about what is going on in </span><span style="color: #000000;">your body from a Chinese Medicine perspecti</span>ve.</p>
